Granpa's Mansion

Even before I was born, my grandfather died of illness. In October of the year I turned 17, my grandmother delivered a letter that my grandfather left me.

By the time you read this letter, you must be 17 already.

내가 태어나기도전 할아버지는 병으로 돌아가셨다. 
내가 17살이 된해 10월달 할머니는 할아버지가 
나에게 남기신 편지를 전달해주셨다.

친애하는 손자에게 

니가 이편지를 읽을때면 벌써 17살 이겠구나. 
이 편지를 쓰고 있는 지금도 잘 성장한 너가 보고 싶구나 
자랑스럽게 자랄 너에게 할아버지도 평생 가지지못한 선물을 주고 싶다. 
평생 얼굴 한 번 보지못한 할아버지의 선물이라니 
당혹스럽겠지만 꼭 너가 찾아 주었으면 한다 
숙제라고 생각하지 않았으면 좋겠구나
